Delete your account.
You can permanently delete your SMOVECITY account — and everything in it — at any time, yourself, in under a minute. No need to email us or wait for approval.
Option 1 — delete it in the app (recommended)
The fastest way. Deletion is immediate and removes everything below.
- Open the SMOVECITY app and make sure you are signed in.
- Tap your Profile (bottom-right), then open Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation, type the word to confirm, and tap Delete forever.
Your account and all associated data are deleted right away and you are signed out. The action cannot be undone.
Option 2 — ask us by email
If you can no longer sign in, email contact@smove.city from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. To protect you, we only act on requests from the account's own email address. We complete verified requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile — name, email, password and profile photo
- Your saved places (home, work, hobby and any others)
- Your direct messages, group-chat messages and any photos you shared
- Your friends and friend requests
- Your planned trips, routines and itineraries
- Your bookings history and World Cup predictions
- Your posts, comments, saved items, notifications and rewards/streaks
- Any live-location shares and the files you uploaded
What we keep, and for how long
Your data is removed from our live database immediately. Encrypted backups that may still contain a copy are rotated out within 30 days, after which no copy remains. We retain only the minimal records the law requires us to (for example, basic transaction records where tax law requires it), with all other personal identifiers removed. Server request logs, which are not linked to your account, are kept for up to 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
