What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of data a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you on your next visit — for example, to remember that you've already dismissed the cookie banner. Some technologies (local storage, session storage) achieve the same effect without being called "cookies"; for clarity, we include all of them under the same policy.
What we use
This is the full list of what smove.city stores in your browser. Nothing else is set unless you explicitly accept analytics in a future update.
What we deliberately do not use
No advertising or marketing cookies. We don't use Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any equivalent. No cross-site tracking. Third parties cannot read anything we set. No fingerprinting. We don't combine signals (screen size, fonts, time-zone) to identify your browser.
We may add a privacy-respecting analytics provider (Plausible, Fathom or equivalent) at a later date. If we do, it will run only after you accept on the cookie banner, and this page will be updated to disclose it.
Third-party services that may set cookies
Some of our pages embed content from third parties that, when loaded, may set their own cookies in your browser. We list them here for transparency:
Google Fonts serves the typefaces (Instrument Serif, Inter, IBM Plex Mono). Google states that the Fonts API does not set cookies. Apple App Store badge images and links may, after you click through, take you to Apple's site, which sets its own cookies under its own policy. Embedded social posts on the blog (Twitter/X, LinkedIn) only load when you click them.
Change your choice
